Alumina Crucibles – for Air and Induction Melting Applications
Dyson Technical Ceramics™ Pressed Alumina Crucibles offer resistance to high temperatures, while maintaining good erosion resistance. Dyson Technical Ceramics manufactures a range of crucible material compositions based on Alumina. Applications include the melting of:
-
- Basic Carbon Steel and its alloys
- Stainless Steel
- Palladium
- Nickel and Cobalt based alloys
Dyson’s Pressed Alumina Crucibles – Product Range
ISO-Alumina A97
Iso-pressed and high fired Alumina offers very good abrasion resistance. Often used in the melting of Basic Carbon Steel and its alloys, Palladium and Stainless Steel.
ISO-Alumina Mullite AM88
Iso-pressed and high Fired, offering good abrasion resistance and enhanced thermal shock resistance when compared to high Alumina. Used in the melting of basic carbon steels, where thermal stress is an issue
Introducing: ISO-AZ76 Zirconia enriched Alumina.
Bridging the gap between Alumina and Zirconia, AZ76 offers superior erosion resistance to high Alumina and an economical alternative to Zirconia. In addition to this, AZ76 is also being used as a replacement to Chrome Alumina, avoiding the Health and safety as well as the environmental issues with that material. ISO-AZ76 offers a diverse range of applications, which include:
-
- Glass
- Basic Carbon steel and its alloys
- Alloy Steels
- Nickel and Colbalt based Superalloys.
